An iodine intake that is too low can lead to various health problems. This has proven to be a problem worldwide in recent decades. In the previous decade, for instance, it was found that in Europe about 50% of the population had too low levels of iodine. For this reason, iodised salt, which is also used in bread, has long been sold in order to increase iodine consumption. These measures are effective, but this does not mean that there is no longer a risk of iodine deficiency. The consequences are still problematic. Moreover, there is a trend nowadays to eat less bread. Together with other differences in consumption patterns, this can have detrimental effects on an adequate iodine intake. By nature, iodine is only sparsely present in food.
Dosage
Take 1 to 2 drops per day. Keep to the recommended dosage. Consult your physician or therapist prior to use if you have a thyroid condition.
